The Nice List 2025
04 Feb 2025
Plateau philanthropy– 2025’s nonprofit fundraising roundup
Feb-March 2025
Written By: Kat Ford
This group of collective donors, leaders, staff and volunteers contribute to the plateau’s interconnectedness in vital ways across myriad cultural, ecological and humanitarian efforts. It is likely that you have enjoyed scenic hikes, admired pristine waters and benefited from protected biodiversity or historical sites due to their mission-focused work. The staff members of your favorite businesses may utilize their afterschool programs or accessible healthcare. Your grandchildren may have attended one of their camps and you might have listened to their concerts, browsed their gallery spaces or learned from their symposiums.
Within the five-year span that this publication has released the list, these organizations navigated two historic emergencies, the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Helene. Resourcing them, ensuring their fiscal health and longevity, allowed for rapid response and empowered the community to coordinate and act with kindness and grace in times of crisis. It’s held previous titles, including The Nice List, but it could just as easily be dubbed the Herculean Effort List, the Resource List, the Protect-At-All-Costs List.
